At BiGAUSTIN, we are “Making It Happen” for small businesses as we prepare for our annual fundraiser, the BiG|idea day Awards and Luncheon on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.  The 12^th annual BiG|idea day celebrates local small businesses that have made Austin America’s No.1 “Boom Town” according to Forbes Magazine.  Since 1995, BiGAUSTIN has served over 10,000 clients and loaned over $6 million dollars to create more business opportunities and jobs in Central Texas.

BiG|idea day is the largest annual fundraiser for BiGAUSTIN with over 300 attendees made up of small business owners, financial institutions, corporations and community leaders. You have an opportunity witness what small business owners are doing to “Keep Austin businesses competitive and profitable” in today’s marketplace.  This event will provide a diverse arena for businesses to network and share valuable information with all in attendance while showcasing the finalists of our annual business plan competitions and shopping with local vendors in the BiGMarketplace.

Business Plan Competition

BiGAUSTIN is excited to announce our annual Business Plan Competition at our 12th Annual BiG|idea day. We are currently seeking submissions from existing businesses (at least 6 months in operation) and from youth entrepreneurs (grades 9-12). Winners from Existing and Youth Business Plan Competitions will receive $10,000 and $1,000 in cash and prizes, respectively.  Due date for business plan submissions is Friday, March 2, 2012 at 5 p.m. CST .
